For the next #CrowdChat we turn our eyes toward the sky for a discussion with the CEO of one of the most innovative and disruptive airlines in the industry, AirAsia X.

imagesAzran Osman-Rani was appointed AirAsia X CEO in 2007, at the impressive age of 36. Under his leadership, the fast-growing carrier has become Asia’s leading low-cost long-haul flight provider by breaking industry conventions and developing innovative revenue sources and services. Beyond low fares (a quick search for roundtrip Singapore-Kuala Lumpur turns up a flight for 65 SGD, or just $52 USD), AirAsia is globally-recognized for listening to its customers—and its employees. The airline launched the industry’s first social CRM platform, Ask AirAsia, and recently introduced BRAIN, a crowdsourcing platform among its employees to spur new ideas for products and revenue generation.

Join us as we talk with CEO Azran Osman-Rani (also a competitive Ultimate Frisbee player and dedicated marathon runner!) about how he used innovation to take AirAsia X to new heights, and why innovation is important to any business.
