We are thrilled to announce the next round of speakers for Crowdsourcing Week Europe 2015 (#CSWEurope15). The lineup of speakers is getting even better with participation from these five innovators, crowdsourcing influencers and disrupters who will share valuable and actionable insights on the crowd economy.

Crowdsourcing Week Europe 2015 will take place  in Brussels, Belgium from October 19-23 a five-day comprehensive European conference where you’ll learn about the latest applications of collaboration to government, cities, business, finance and more. Take a peek at the latest speakers and the valuable insights they will bring to Brussels.

“Internet of Us: Networks Built by People for the People”
– Micha Benoliel, CEO, Open Garden Inc.

Micha Benoliel is a pioneering entrepreneur working to bring free mobile Internet to the world. He co-founded Open Garden to build a new generation of mobile network leveraging the smartphone infrastructure. Open Garden created FireChat, the first messaging app that works when there is no Internet access. Micha’s interest in technology began at age 8 when he taught himself how to code on a Zenith PC that his father was using for accounting. Among the several telecommunications services, he launched in the last decade. He worked with Skype when he was running a VoIP platform; he was the first carrier to enable the launch of Skype In and Skype Out and other premium Skype services. He holds a MBA from the Weller Management School in France.

– Aster van Tilburg, Crowdfunding Advisor, Voor je Buurt

Aster van Tilburg is crowdfunding advisor at Voor je Buurt, a crowdfunding platform for civic initiatives. She places crowdfunding for local initiatives on the map and gives support to initiators in starting a successful crowdfunding campaign. Aster is driven by enthusiastic people who work together to realize ideas that improve their neighborhood. In her experience, crowdfunding is a powerful instrument because it leads to more connections, creativity and a feeling of ownership.

– Sarah Gold, Designer

Sarah is a designer operating at the focal point of emerging technologies, digital infrastructures and civic frameworks. She is well known in the UK tech scene for her pioneering work on the Alternet, a proposal for a civic network. Her work extends from the Alternet to imagine, build and test future web infrastructure and digital tools for a more democratic society. She is co-founder of WikiHouse Foundation, the organisation to support and promote the open source project WikiHouse. Alongside her design projects, Sarah speaks on the future of the Internet, IoT, decentralisation and citizenship.

“Crowdsourcing in Developing Economies”
– Samar Singla, CEO & Founder, Jugnoo

Samar Singla, a keen Physicist is the man behind Jugnoo. Samar walked the unconventional road of leaving a PHD in Applied Physics to get involved with a startup. In between, he also dabbled as a professional photographer before moving on to become a serial entrepreneur. Jugnoo is his third venture in the space of hyperlocal marketplace. He is passionate about bringing technology to every household breaking the social and economic norms. Samar is a huge fan of globalisation thesis concept of Peter Thiel. He believes that any idea that brings in a lot of efficiencies in the way things are done in a particular country is bound to be implemented at other places in the world in due course. He is an avid traveller and uses his passion of photography to capture life-long memories.
