Introduction

Bastian Unterberg is an entrepreneur and author. As founder and CEO of Jovoto, a Berlin and NYC-based tech company, Bastian oversees strategic product and business development. Jovoto is a platform that enables global brands and enterprise businesses to solve design and innovation challenges – ranging from new product design to sustainable architecture – with a community of over 60,000 creative professionals. He founded Jovoto in 2007. Bastian coded and designed his first website at the age of 15, started his first company at the age of 16, and has since launched many Berlin-based initiatives including the Awesome Foundation and the Social Media Week.

Bastian’s studied computer science at the University of Siegen and studied Design at the University of Arts in Berlin. In 2013, Wiley published Bastian’s book, “Crowdstorm – The Future of Innovation, Ideas and Problem Solving”. Bastian’s work has been featured in various media such as Page, New York Times, Focus and Fast Company. He writes about mass collaboration, open innovation and creative motivation and is an active speaker at various national and international conferences. He lives in Berlin with his wife and children.
