Greg McMullen is a lawyer, the Director of the IPDB Foundation (https://ipdb.foundation), and Chief Policy Officer for BigchainDB GmbH (https://www.bigchaindb.com). Greg is fascinated by the intersections of technology, law, and society. For the past year, Greg has focused on the governance of decentralized organizations and on establishing IPDB. He was a class actions litigator in Vancouver, Canada, working on cases ranging from privacy violations to price fixing conspiracies. He was a Director of the British Columbia Civil Liberties Association, Canada’s largest civil liberties group. He wrote the BCCLA handbook on privacy rights when crossing the Canadian border with electronic devices and helped organize its Legal Observer program before the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. In 2015, Greg moved to Berlin, where he lives with his pet robot vacuum.
