Mouna Aouri is a bridge engineer and a serial tech-entrepreneur who worked on the cutting edge of innovation, technology and engineering since 1997. After earning her MS in Engineering in Japan, she has worked for the most renowned engineering firms across Africa, North and South East Asia.
Mouna started her first business in 2005, a B2B consulting company based in North Africa. Working with over 50 industry experts and government officials, Mouna advised Japanese and French engineering firms in the design and implementation of various Bridge engineering, Desalination plants, water treatment plants and ICT projects. One of the most exciting project that Mouna has managed was the launch of the first Mobile wallet technology platform in Tunisia in 2010.
Following the Arab spring revolution in 2011, Mouna has relocated to Singapore with her family. Her deep desire to see more women strive in STEM and for women to play a bigger role in founding the companies of the future led her to found Woomentum. Woomentum is a Peer-to-Peer digital platform that helps female led startups and SMEs connect to expert mentors and raise fund through crowdfunding.
Mouna is also a member of the Singapore Fintech Association subcommittee, a mentor at the UNWOMEN STEM program, a drummer on her free time and a mother of two young girls.
