CSW Summit Gjakova

In partnership with BONEVET, Kosovo’s leading non-profit Makerspace, Crowdsourcing Week Summit Gjakova will bring crowdsourcing and the crowd economy to center stage in Kosovo. Local and international speakers will gather in Gjakova for this one-day conference to share how crowdsourcing is reshaping industries and transforming organizations today. Hear from 10+ crowdsourcing industry experts and practitioners proving how crowdsourcing and the crowd economy can truly reinvigorate cities, accelerate entrepreneurship and engage citizens and local communities.

Located in the southeastern Kosovo, Gjakova experienced major destruction during the last conflict in 1999 and currently lacks investments in education and infrastructure, employment opportunities, and entrepreneurial activity. As a result many people have left the city and moved to the capital or left Kosovo entirely. During the last ten years 31% of the total population of Gjakova has migrated; majority is highly educated and experienced people who are willing to provide help and figure out new opportunities for their hometown. Yet, it still remains an interesting city to be explored, a city rich in culture and tradition with its uniqueness and lovingly people that are full of hospitality and smiles.

The summit will be an interactive day of learning and case-studies for entrepreneurs, cities, governments, and communities to understand the opportunities within the crowd economy, and a meaningful conversation about how it can specifically be applied in Gjakova.
