    Meg Wade has been active in participatory budgeting (PB), a process in which community members directly decide how to spend public money,  since its launch in the United States in 2009. She currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Participatory Budgeting Project, a non-profit that provides technical assistance to communities engaged in PB. Meg is also a member of the inaugural cohort of the Sustainable Economies Law Center’s Nonprofit Democracy Network, commencing this fall.  She holds a BA and MA from the University of Chicago. Meg currently resides in Seattle, where her work focuses on movement building with the climate justice organization 350 Seattle.
