Tanguy De Lestré is currently advising the Brussels state secretary Bianca Debaets on aspects related to  Smart City, Digital Transformation, and the inter-linkage between Tech and Society.

He holds degrees both in IT management (with a Master in Business Information management from Solvay Business School), and Policy degrees related to European studies and Political Sciences (University of Louvain-la-Neuve, Leuven, Antwerp, Armstrong State University – USA).

He started his career in EU affairs in the mid 90ies, and got involved than firsthand in the first Internet wave with own startup and Internet advisory consultancy.

From there he moved to the Belgian Technology Industry Assocation Agoria for 13 years and focused on the business innovation (inter alias mobile apps and geo-information) and on the telecommunication policy sides. in  parallel, he participated in European research projects through the Leuven center for IT and IP law. He has been for the past 15 years bringing together grass-roots communities through tech events like mobilemonday.
