There is no limit to the incredible — positive — impact that crowdsourcing has on any one opportunity. Crowdsourcing can be used to solve the most mundane of projects — to building the most advanced armored personnel carrier for the US military.

Education for All (EFA) has one goal — to provide quality basic education to everyone. And as you can imagine that is a monumental goal. But at the first World Education Forum in 2000, 164 governments adopted the Dakar Framework for Action.

And Nokia, UNESCO and the Pearson Foundation are working together to allow the general public — to collaborate and find educational solutions through the EFA Crowdsourcing Challenge.

The Challenge allows participants to:

  1. Create ideas
  2. Evolve current ideas to ensure they meet their potential
  3. Learn from experts and one another
  4. Find people with similar interests and areas of expertise
  5. Link people with needs, ideas and the skills to act on them

This is a 4 minute video on the EFA Crowdsourcing Challenge so take those 4 minutes and listen in.
