Ernst & Young (EY) has extended its range of advisory services by acquiring MillionYou, leader in the crowdsourcing market in Poland.

With this acquisition, EY clients will benefit from business knowledge with the unlimited possibilities offered by crowdsourcing. They will also get non-standard creative forms of searching for innovation, communicating with the environment, and transforming their organizations.

Crowdsourcing helps companies deal with the challenges they and their brands face, and challenges also faced by self-governing and citizen groups today.  Companies are under the constant pressure from both consumers expecting an increasingly individual approach and innovative start-ups whose breakthrough technology ideas or business models enable quicker and more effective identification of needs and discovery of solutions.

By harnessing the power of community and investing in crowdsourcing services, EY will broaden their offer to meet clients needs more comprehensively and effectively. Gartner predicted that 75% of high-performing enterprises will use crowdsourcing in some form by 2018.

Being able to collect and analyze extensive sets of significant data directly from clients, employees, and suppliers opens the way to experiments with identifying small ideas that, once implemented, generate meaningful innovation and translate into greater effectiveness or reduced operating costs – explains Piotr Piela, Managing Partner, EY Business Advisory Department.

MillionYou has carried out more than 100 projects in different sectors: FMCG, financial, transport, technology, healthcare, and also the public sector, engaging about 50,000 people in its projects and dedicated communities. Jan Kasprzycki-Rosikoń, MillionYou co-founder, EY Crowdsourcing Director, says:

Joining forces with EY has given us the opportunity to use our experience and know-how on a much larger scale. Crowdsourcing and open innovation increase the chances for clients to develop groundbreaking solutions; build relations with consumers, employees and partners; and benefit from the potential, know-how, and capital in their organization.”

Using the MillionYou platform, which will now be open to EY clients, gives a number of opportunities, in the strategic, creative, promotional, and HR fields, among others.
