Crowdsourcing Week announces the first global conference on crowdsourcing, open innovation and crowdfunding in Singapore, June 3 – 7, 2013. This international 5-day curated event will focus on how “a crowd of people” can make outstanding contributions at the enterprise level, through a collaborative business model.

By using new Internet technologies and social media, this new business paradigm is changing the way we invent, build and market products and ideas. The initial speaker line-up is an impressive list of prominent voices – thinkers and entrepreneurs in open innovation who will cover best practices in – healthcare, tourism, startups, design, media, tech, finance and more.

“Crowdsourcing is rapidly expanding as a disruptive practice in the working world and we see more and more companies trying to utilize the huge potential,” says Epirot Ludvik Nekaj, CEO and cofounder of Crowdsourcing Week. “The democratized web promises to become the next revolution that will change business as usual.”

Working closely together with Government agencies in Singapore, Crowdsourcing Week also aims to highlight Asia, especially Singapore as the emerging global hub of business innovation.

“We are proud that Singapore has been selected to host the inaugural edition of Crowdsourcing Week,” comments Mr. Andrew Phua, Director for Exhibitions & Conferences at the Singapore Tourism Board. “It is an exciting time to be in Asia and Singapore, and businesses with interest in the region are seeking new insights and innovative ideas. Forward-looking and cutting-edge events like Crowdsourcing Week will introduce fresh concepts to the region, complementing Singapore’s pro-business and future-ready outlook.”

Right from its inception, Crowdsourcing Week has been fortunate to have the support of the pioneers in the crowdsourcing sphere, who share the vision for innovation without boundaries – 99designsRazooImageBrief,ChaordixZooppaeYekaLocal Motors amongst others.

“It is inspiring to be a part of a movement that will reshape the way we think, work and do business,” adds Rose Kemps, the company’s cofounder & COO. “We are excited to bring the event to Singapore, where the support we have received for open innovation is very encouraging.”

The conference endeavors to educate, engage and equip the new generation of C-level business executives, entrepreneurs, government and nonprofit leaders and creatives with the latest trends in crowdsourcing, crowdfunding and open innovation platforms. Conference topics will cover best practices in open innovation, deliver insights into the business dynamics of the future, and demonstrate the impact of these technologies on efficiency, effectiveness and the bottom line.
