Wire, Plug and Shift: Re-inventing MOBILITY

Alain Deneef

Brussels is known for being the most congested city in Europe, where 1 of every 2 cars on the road are company cars given to employees. Alain explains why it’s time for a new paradigm shift towards a comprehensive mobility solution, a co-created model to respond to the increasing complicatedness of our world. Yet mobility is a global systemic issue, involving infrastructure and its financing, law and tax regulations, technology and innovation, land and urban planning, transversal and intermodal thinking.

A new mobility paradigm would dramatically change the landscape of our cities, and new business and employment models will emerge because of this shift. How can we get there? Alain addresses all the angles of attack we need to tackle such a systemic issue such as mobility: infrastructure, financing, regulation – and maybe the end of monopoly for public transportation, land and urban planning.
